Speech language disorders can greatly affect a students learning ability and successes. If a child is diagnosed with a speech language disorder they may not be able to express and/or process information and knowledge.

Speech DisordersWhen a person is unable to produce speech correctly or fluently. This also includes having problems with their voice, difficulties pronouncing sounds, or articulation disorders and stuttering.

Communication Disability/ Delay:
- ECS: Code 30
- diagnosed mild or moderate disability or identified delay in expressive and/or receptive language
- diagnosed disability/delay in articulation, phonology, voice and/or fluency and is at risk for learning difficulties as demonstrated by education assessment.
Communication Disability:
- Grades 1-12: Code 57
- Expressive and/or receptive language
- Articulation, phonology, voice and/or fluency
